We run

RESIDENTIALS

We host residential programmes throughout the year in order to allow our participants to form deeper relationships and to become a part of the OSH family. Our residentials combine informal education and creative workshops with time to relax, unwind and have fun with new friends.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a residential cost? All of OSH's activities are free for participants! Donations from supporters are always welcome to keep the fun going, but you don't have to pay a penny to join the party

How do I get to a residential? We have a designated pick up point and will have you covered from there

Where will I sleep? You'll share a dorm room with a few other participants

Who will be looking after me? OSH residentials are staffed by volunteers who all hold a DBS and have undergone training with us. A number of our volunteers were once OSH participants themselves and understand what it's like coming on a residential! All of our team are there to help keep you happy, safe and having a great time!

What's the food like on a residential? Our amazing team of volunteers help cook tasty and nutritious food for everyone - expect jollof rice, homemade pizzas, cheesy pasta bakes, nachos, salads, plenty of snacks and more. All our food is Halal and we can accomodate any dietary requirement

What should I bring with me? We will send out a kit list before the residential but you won't need to buy anything special for it - the most important thing you'll need to bring is yourself!

Do I have to take part in all the activities? What if I just want to chill? We know new places can be a bit much sometimes and understand if you need to take some time away from activities to chill. We have plenty of chill time scheduled in every residential itinerary where you can have some time by yourself, kick a ball about with friends, play a game of cards or something else nice and relaxing! For your safety, all participants have to stay on the site of where the residential is.

How old do I have to be come on a residential? OSH residentials are for young people aged 14 - 18 - in special circumstances we have had younger people join us in the past though. If you are older than 18 you can train to be a leader and join us that way instead! Check out our leadership training programme for more details.
